cs.rin Method

For this approach, you will need an account on the forums. You can do this by visiting the website and registering here.

Once you have an account, follow these steps:

  1. Click the search button or visit this link.
  2. Enter the name of the game you want to download and hit Enter.
  3. Find the thread named after your game. If there are multiple threads, choose the one labeled [info].
  4. Go to the last page and scroll backward to find the most recent download link.
  5. If you are prompted for a password, it will likely be cs.rin.ru, unless otherwise specified.
  6. Note the build ID, as it indicates the version of the game, which will be needed later.

GOG Method

GOG offers DRM-free games, meaning you don't need to crack the game. Here are the steps:

  1. Visit this site and search for the game you want.
  2. Download the setup file and install the game.
  3. Go to the installation folder and copy all game files into a separate folder.
  4. Take note of the game version number displayed in the setup file (before the number in brackets).
  5. Uninstall the game and delete unnecessary files in the game folder, such as:
    • EULA.txt
    • gog.ico
    • goggame-xxxxxx.hashdb
    • goggame-xxxxxx.id
    • goggame-xxxxxx.info
    • support.ico
    • unins000.dat
    • unins000.exe
    • unins000.ini
    • unins000.msg
    • webcache.zip

Cracking the Game

This step involves bypassing simple DRM but doesn't include cracking more complex systems like Denuvo. If your game is from GOG, this step is unnecessary.

If the game requires a crack, follow the methods below.

Golberg Method

Golberg Steam Emu is a tool that replaces the Steam API to allow offline functionality. To use it:

  1. Download the latest build of Goldberg Steam Emu.
  2. Go to the game folder and find any instance of steam_api.dll or steam_api64.dll.
  3. Replace these files with the corresponding DLL from Goldberg.
  4. Create a new text file named steam_appid.txt in the same folder.
  5. Inside the text file, input the Steam App ID for the game (you can find it on the game's Steam store page).

Steamless Method

If replacing the Steam API doesn't work, you can use Steamless to remove the Steam stub.

  1. Download Steamless from here.
  2. Run Steamless.exe and select the game executable.
  3. Click "Unpack" to remove the Steam stub.
  4. Check if the game works and delete the backup file created by Steamless.

Online-Fix Method

Online-Fix allows multiplayer cracks for games. Visit their Discord community here for more information.

If a crack is available, download it, extract it, and replace the files in the game folder.

Packaging the Game Correctly

After cracking the game, you must package it for sharing. Follow these steps:

  1. Put all game files, including DLCs, into a new folder (excluding extras like artbooks or soundtracks).
  2. Rename the folder following this format: {Full Game Name} {GOG Version/Steam Build ID}. For example, Geometry Dash b16373064 or Machinarium v4041.
  3. Use 7-Zip to compress the folder into a .7z archive. Name the archive after the folder.
  4. Wait for 7-Zip to finish, and the game is ready for upload!
